Sanjay Raut targeted BJP's manifesto, said- Amit Shah has failed to understand Maharashtra
Mumbai Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut on Sunday said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has failed to understand Maharashtra, regarding his remarks against Hindutva ideologue Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. Shah said Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray is supporting the Congress whose leaders have insulted Balasaheb Thackeray and Veer Savarkar.
Shah, after releasing the manifesto of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the Maharashtra Assembly elections to be held on November 20, said that the election promises of the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) are an insult to ideology and promote appeasement.

This is not the first time that BJP has taken a dig at the MVA over Congress’ stand on Savarkar. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday challenged Congress allies in Maharashtra to get Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to praise Savarkar and Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray for 15 minutes.
