New Delhi: The central government has formed 24 parliamentary committees. Congress’ Shashi Tharoor has been made the chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee while Digvijay Singh has been made the chairman of the Education Committee. Ram Gopal Yadav has been made the chairman of the Health Committee and Radha Mohan Das Agarwal has been made the chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Defense Affairs. Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi has been made a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Defense Affairs. Bhartruhari Mahtab has been made the chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Finance Affairs.
