True Value, a unit of Maruti Suzuki’s old car sales business, has announced a new facility for car owners. Under this, car owners will be able to sell their old cars on the True Value platform sitting at home. The company said in a statement that this initiative is towards making True Value a reliable one-stop destination for buying and selling old cars.
Shashank Srivastava, executive director (marketing and sales) of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said that through this customers will be able to evaluate their car in a digital way. Artificial Intelligence-based pricing system will ensure transparency and will also allow the car owner to get instant payment for his car.
No problems like finding a buyer, transferring documents
He further said that we believe that this initiative will make the old car sales process more convenient. The car owner will not have to face the hassles of finding Genuine buyers, transferring documents and getting payment. At present, there are 570 showrooms of Maruti Suzuki True Value in 280 cities of the country. The company sold more than 4 lakh cars from this platform in FY 2019-20 with sales growth of 3.7%.
Cars pass through 376 checkpoints
True Value uses intelligent digital interfaces to evaluate and certify cars. Information from these processes helps the customer to know the car better. Cars certified by True Value pass through 376 checkpoints. These are given a 1 year warranty and 3 free services to customers.
