Hundreds of passengers of domestic airline Indigo have been stranded at Istanbul Airport for several hours. The airline has apologized for the inconvenience caused due to long delays in its flights to Mumbai and Delhi. According to PTI news, IndiGo operates one flight each from Delhi and Mumbai to Istanbul with Boeing 777 aircraft every day. According to the news, the exact details of the affected flights could not be immediately known, but many passengers have complained on social media about long delays of up to 24 hours and lack of facilities at the airport.
The airline said- customers are being assisted
According to the news, many passengers are stranded since Thursday. IndiGo said in a statement on Friday that we are aware of the delay in IndiGo flights to Istanbul. We give top priority to customer convenience and our teams are available at all contact points to assist customers. The airline has apologized for the inconvenience caused to the passengers. However, the airline did not disclose specific details. Some passengers also shared pictures of people stranded at the airport.
Passengers shared their problems
In a post on social media platform The passenger further wrote – No food. No clarity. No airline staff, no compensation, pathetic treatment.
Another passenger said in a post on Twitter: “Many people are stranded at the airport due to the pathetic services of @IndiGo6E and @TurkishAirlines operators. Never book flights with them as they do not respect passengers’ time. With @IndiGo6E you can never be on time.
