The new Dezire is priced between Rs 6.79 lakh and Rs 10.14 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). According to PTI news, the company has said that it will continue to cater to the needs of all customer segments to maintain its top market share in the domestic market.

Nearly 30 lakh units have been sold

According to the news, on the occasion of introducing the new Dezire, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) MD and CEO Hisashi Takeuchi said that there is growth in the SUV segment, but to maintain high market share, other segments are also important for the company. Are. He said that Dezire has been a global success for the company and till now around 30 lakh units have been sold in different markets. Takeuchi said that the company has invested about Rs 1,000 crore on the development of this model.

Maruti Suzuki claims a mileage of 24.79 kmpl for the new standard Dezire, 25.71 kmpl for the automatic Dezire and 33.73 kmpl for the CNG variant.

In Global NCAP’s crash test, Maruti Suzuki’s new Dezire has got 5 star rating for adult passenger safety and 4 stars for child passenger safety.

More than 40 percent market share

Partho Banerjee, senior executive officer (marketing and sales), MSI, said the company’s endeavor is to serve all customer segments. MSI currently has more than 40 per cent market share (wholesale) in the total domestic passenger vehicle segment. In terms of retail sales, the company recorded its highest ever performance with 2.02 lakh units in October. Its market share in the sedan segment is more than 50 percent. In the entry compact-sedan segment, which also includes Honda Amaze, Hyundai Aura etc., MSI has a market share of over 61 per cent in the April-September period of this financial year.
