Amardeep Singh, Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), said, “208 projects worth Rs 15.39 lakh crore have been evaluated so far under this initiative.” He said there are many benefits from using this system, including a significant reduction in the time and cost of planning these infrastructure projects. The maximum number of projects recommended by the group are roads (101), railways (73), urban development (12) and four projects belonging to the Ministry of Oil and Gas.
