During ‘Screen Live’ in Mumbai on Friday, Vijay Verma told how women started getting scared of him because of his negative characters. Due to this, Vijay was very upset. Vijay Verma has played negative roles in ‘Darlings’, ‘Pink’ and Sonakshi Sinha starrer ‘Dahaad’. The actor played a negative character for the first time in ‘Pink’. His role in the film was only small, but it left such an impression in the hearts of the audience that the audience was surprised to see him. Many women started getting scared of him after seeing his role. Singer Sunidhi Chauhan was also surprised to see the actor in the film.

Impact of negative characters

Talking about the negative character he played and its impact on the audience, Vijay Varma said- “Many beautiful girls and their mothers have told me that they are scared of me and that makes me uncomfortable. The series of dangerous evil men I played started with Pink. It was a small role, but I remember it well because it was an all-women screening. All the actresses were present and I remember seeing people I had only seen on screen before.’

When Sunidhi was scared after seeing Vijay Verma

Vijay Verma recalls his meeting with singer Sunidhi Chauhan during the screening of ‘Pink’. He said- ‘Everyone present there was happy before the screening, but by the end some were crying and some did not want to leave. Sunidhi Chauhan was also crying. I tried to pacify Sunidhi Chauhan, but she told me, ‘Don’t come near me. I am very scared of you.’ I was shocked, I thought- ‘Oh my God, what just happened?’ Then the director pulled me aside and told me that I had done a good job.

Got recognition for Moin’s role in Gully Boy

Talking about Vijay Verma’s film journey, Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Gully Boy’ was the biggest turning point for him. He played the character of Moin in the film. Through this character he was successful in winning the hearts of the audience. After this he appeared in films and series like Darlings, Mirzapur, She, Jaane Jaan, Lust Stories 2 and Dahad.
