Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan is all set to showcase a unique and never seen before avatar in Shoojit Sircar’s most awaited film ‘I Want to Talk’. Ever since the actor’s first look from the film was released, Abhishek Bachchan’s fans are eager for the release of his upcoming film. This film is much discussed these days. However, it is another matter that Abhishek was not the first choice of the makers for this film. This shocking revelation has been made by the film’s director Shoojit Sircar himself. He told that this film was not originally written for Abhishek Bachchan. He also revealed the name of the actor keeping in mind the story of this film was written.

Who was the makers’ first choice for the film?

Director Shoojit Sircar told that this film was written keeping in mind the late actor Irrfan Khan. Shoojit Sircar also expressed happiness about Abhishek Bachchan’s performance in the film. In a podcast with Cyrus Broacha, he openly discussed the upcoming film and Abhishek Bachchan’s character in it and said, ‘I am very satisfied with Abhishek’s performance.’

Irrfan Khan, known for his extraordinary acting abilities, sadly passed away on April 29, 2020, after battling neuroendocrine cancer. The trailer of ‘I Want to Talk’ introduces the audience to Abhishek as Arjun, who overcomes life’s difficulties with wit and humour. In a remarkable scene, a doctor tells Arjun about a life-changing surgery. With limited time left, Arjun sets out on a journey to salvation while trying to right his past mistakes.

Abhishek Bachchan’s transformation

Abhishek has done a tremendous transformation for his role. The first poster of the film, released in October, created quite a stir. It showed him in a robe and yellow-printed shorts, standing in a dimly lit room. In this, his enlarged stomach was visible, which had marks of surgery. The caption of the poster also increased the curiosity of the fans, on which it was written – “There is a lot to say but then again, a picture speaks a thousand words.”

Did Abhishek say this on transformation?

At the music launch event, Abhishek opened up about his physical transformation for the role, and confirmed that it was not achieved through prosthetics. “Never gain weight for a film again. Believe me, at my age it becomes very difficult to lose it after a while. And that’s me. This is not an artificial thing.”
