Producer Boney Kapoor is excited about his upcoming film ‘No Entry 2’. The producer spoke to IANS. During the conversation, he also gave updates about hair transplant, weight loss journey and ‘No Entry 2’.
When asked about the inspiration for the new look, Boney said, “How did I achieve this new look? It started with weight loss. Before focusing on my hair, I managed to lose about 14-15 kg. However, my weight increased by 2-3 kg during Diwali. According to my height, my weight should be around 87-88 kg. Right now my weight remains between 95-97.”
Boney Kapoor said on the reaction of his family, “The reactions of my children – Arjun, Anshula, Janhvi and Khushi have been amazing. Whenever I post pictures, they always express their opinions. My daughters are vocal. Whereas Arjun is a little hesitant. He praises me personally.”
Describing hair transplant and weight loss as expensive, the filmmaker said, “The expenses have increased! Growing hair and losing weight both come with a price.” On Anil Kapoor’s reaction to the change, she said, “Anil has always been an inspiration to me. At 69 I feel like I have to compete with them and look younger! That’s my motivation, to be one step ahead of them.”
Giving an update about the film to the audience who are eagerly waiting for ‘No Entry’, Kapoor said, “The script of the film is fantastic, many of the actors who have heard it feel that it is even better than the first film. I waited a long time for the original artists to agree and then started.
When Boney Kapoor was asked about the trend of re-releasing old films, he said, “Re-releasing a film requires a lot of investment. Polishing the film and re-marketing it. This is worthwhile only if the film has potential and there is clear demand from the audience. Some films like ‘Laila Majnu’ performed exceptionally well for the second time. However, the costs and returns of each project must be carefully evaluated.”
Meanwhile, Boney Kapoor was asked if he is planning to recreate Mr. India or similar classic films and he said, “Yes, there are always plans, but every film has its own destiny. If When the stars align and luck aligns, those plans come true.”
Remembering his wife Sridevi, he said, “If she were here today, she would be very happy. She is still with us, taking care of me and I believe whatever I have achieved is because of her.” “
