Cyber criminals will be curbed
Let us tell you that the trend of digital transactions has increased rapidly in the country. For the safety of the people, the Cyber Suspect Registry was launched by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The ‘Central Suspect Registry’ will serve as a central-level database with consolidated data of cyber crime suspects across the country.

Let us tell you that the Cyber Suspect Registry contains mobile numbers and email IDs of 14 lakh suspicious people. Not only this, it also includes data related to bank accounts, social media accounts and UPI. This database has been prepared on the basis of complaints received in cases of fraud. If the report is to be believed, at present more than 67 thousand complaints of cyber crime are being received daily on the cyber crime portal.
Let us tell you that out of the complaints of cyber crime that the government is receiving, about 85 percent of the complaints are related to financial fraud. More than 47 lakh complaints have been received so far on cyber fraud. The suspect registry can be accessed only by states, union territories, central investigation and intelligence agencies.
