Amidst these speculations, Jio has made a big play. According to the report, the company has made a new domain named Jiostar.com live. Jio Star Coming Soon is visible as soon as you open this website. There are speculations that streaming service will be started on this domain from November 14. Many reports have claimed that both these leading OTT platforms will be accessed through this website.
According to recent reports, Reliance Jio will stream all sports events like IPL, ISL, Pro Kabaddi etc. through Disney + Hotstar app. At the same time, all web series, TV serials and movies etc. will be streamed through JioCinema. According to the report, Disney+ Hotstar has better infrastructure for live streaming of sports events. In view of this, the company wants to use this platform only for sports events.

Live cricket matches have been streamed on Disney+ Hotstar for many years. Disney Plus Hotstar still has the streaming rights for all ICC events. Recently in a report it was being said that these two OTT platforms will be merged in the name of JioHostar. In view of this merger, a Delhi based app developer bought this domain and put it on auction. He was going to use the money received from the auction of this domain for his higher studies.
After this, this domain was purchased by two Dubai based residents and claimed to give it to the company for free. Recently, many speculations were coming out on social media regarding the domains of Jio and Hotstar. After the launch of a new website named JioStar, it seems that Jio will now make its streaming service available through this domain. Recently, OpenAI, the company making ChatGPT, has spent more than Rs 120 crore for the domain of Chat.com.
