The aircraft landed at 10.04 pm under the protection of two F-15 fighter planes of the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF).

Police said they received a call about the bomb threat at 8.25pm ​​and completed the investigation after the plane landed, The Straits Times reported. Police said the investigation is ongoing and action will be taken against those deliberately creating public fear. Flight tracker Flightradar24 showed the plane circled over Singapore’s east for about an hour before landing.

“Two of our RSAF F-15SG aircraft diverted the aircraft away from the populated area and safely landed at Singapore’s Changi Airport at about 10.04pm tonight,” Defense Minister Ng Eng Hen said in a Facebook post. “Our ground-based air defense systems and explosive ordnance disposal teams were also activated.” He said that as soon as the plane landed, the responsibility of investigation was handed over to the airport police.
