Dhaka: Former Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina has strongly condemned the Chief Advisor of the Interim Government, Muhammad Yunus Government. He has described the arrest of ISKCON temple priest Chinmoy Krishna Das as unjust. Also said that Yunus government should immediately release Chinmay Das. On the murder of a lawyer outside the Bangladesh court, Hasina said that the people involved in this murder should be found and punished as soon as possible. He called those involved in the lawyer’s murder terrorists and appealed to the people of Bangladesh to unite against terrorism and extremism.

What did Sheikh Hasina say?

Awami League has posted Sheikh Hasina’s statement on Twitter. It said that ‘a top leader of the Sanatan Dharma community has been unjustly arrested, he should be released immediately. Temples have been burnt in Chittagong. Mosques, shrines, churches, monasteries and homes of the Ahmadiyya community have been attacked, vandalized, looted and set on fire in the past. Religious freedom and security of life and property of people of all communities must be ensured.

Harassment continues

Hasina also said, ‘After the killing of innumerable Awami League leaders, workers, students, general public and members of law enforcement agencies, persecution continues through attacks, cases and arrests. I strongly condemn and oppose these anarchist actions.

Attacks on Hindus continue

Let us tell you that Sheikh Hasina had to flee Bangladesh after leaving the post. On August 5 this year, she landed at Hindon Airport in Ghaziabad, near the Indian capital Delhi. Sheikh Hasina has been living at an unknown place in Delhi since then. After the removal of Sheikh Hasina from power in Bangladesh, attacks on Hindus and other minorities started, which are still continuing.
