Washington: A bipartisan group of US lawmakers on Friday formed the ‘Quad Caucus’ in the US Congress, a day before the Quad leaders’ summit to be held in the US. US President Joe Biden has invited the leaders of Australia, India and Japan to his residence in Wilmington, Delaware for the Quad summit. Quad leaders may discuss topics such as infrastructure, maritime security, public-private partnerships, climate, health, critical and emerging technologies and space during the summit.

Congress members Ami Bera, Rob Witman and Senators Tammy Duckworth and Pete Ricketts have announced the formation of the ‘Quad Caucus’. This caucus has been formed with the aim of strengthening cooperation between the US, Japan, India and Australia. Bera said, “The launch of the Quad Caucus underlines our shared commitment to promote peace, stability and development in the Indo-Pacific region. By promoting cooperation on key issues such as maritime security, infrastructure and climate, we can ensure a safer and more prosperous future for all. “Witman said, “Cooperation between the US, Japan, India and Australia is important for the future stability of the Indo-Pacific. ”
