Catastrophic storm ‘Helen’ wreaked havoc

Frankfurt (USA): Hurricane ‘Helen’ has caused massive destruction in America. The death toll due to the devastation caused by this devastating storm increased to 227. This terrible storm caused massive destruction in the south-east of America and people died in six states. The work of recovering the bodies of those killed in the devastation caused by the storm continues even after more than a week.

mass destruction

The catastrophic Hurricane ‘Helen’ made landfall on September 26 and caused widespread destruction as it moved northward from Florida. Due to the heavy rains caused by the storm, many houses were washed away, many roads were destroyed and electricity and mobile phone services were disrupted. The number of people killed in the storm was 225 on Friday and the next day i.e. on Saturday, two more deaths were reported in ‘South Carolina’. It is still unclear how many people are missing. It cannot be predicted by how much more the death toll may increase.

deadliest storm

‘Helen’ is the deadliest hurricane to hit the US mainland since Hurricane Katrina in 2005. There were large numbers of casualties in North Carolina, Georgia and South Carolina. The storm has caused major devastation in the city of Asheville, located in the western mountains of North Carolina. Workers used brooms and heavy machinery to clean up mud and dirt outside the New Belgium Brewing Company after the storm passed. It is located next to the French Broad River and has been heavily influenced.

To date, North Carolinians have received more than $27 million in individual assistance approved by the Federal Emergency Management Agency. More than 83,000 people have registered for individual assistance, according to Governor Roy Cooper’s office.

Shaken even areas far away from the coast

How devastating Hurricane Helen was can be gauged from the fact that it shook mountain towns far away from where it made landfall on the Gulf Coast of Florida, including the mountains of Tennessee. The country music star has announced a donation of US$1 million to the Sun, a non-profit dedicated to providing immediate assistance to flood victims of Hurricane Helen.
