China Military Exercises Near Taiwan
taipei: China has once again conducted military exercises off the coast of southern Fujian province adjacent to Taiwan. China has used ammunition in this military exercise. China has described it as a punitive exercise by Taiwan’s President for rejecting its (China’s) claim of sovereignty. China had conducted large-scale air and sea exercises against Taiwan just a week ago.

According to a notice issued by the Maritime Security Administration, this military exercise by China was conducted from 9 am to 1 pm near Pingtan Island in Fujian province. The notice warned ships to avoid approaching the area. However, it did not provide additional detailed information.
Taiwan is keeping an eye
Taiwan’s Defense Ministry said that this military exercise by China was part of the annual exercise and it is keeping an eye on it. The ministry said that it cannot be denied that this action of China is going to increase the tension in the Taiwan Strait and is one of the ways of expanding its threatening action in the context of free movement in the region.
