Khamenei said in a statement that Hamas had suffered a major blow after the death of Yahya Sinwar. But this will not reduce opposition against Israel. This protest is not going to end with the death of Yahya Sinwar. He said that Hamas is alive and will remain alive. In a post on Twitter, Khamenei expressed condolences over the death of the Hamas leader and described him as a heroic mujahid. He said that he will stand with honest Palestinian mujahideen and fighters. In his first Friday sermon in half a decade earlier this month, the 85-year-old Iranian supreme leader warned that Israel would not last long. Yahya Sinwar, the Hamas leader who ordered the October 7 attack on Israel, was killed on Friday. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced Sinwar’s death on Thursday, October 17. That was one of Israel’s primary targets.

Yahya Sinwar Yahya Sinwar is considered to be the mastermind of the attack on Israel by Hamas on October 7 last year. When Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, more than 1,200 Israelis were killed and more than 250 were taken hostage. Sinwar is called ‘the butcher of Khan Yunis’. Additionally, it was believed that Sinwar had surrounded himself with Israeli hostages to reduce the chances of being killed.
