Karachi: In Pakistan, a youth allegedly killed four female members of his family, including his mother and sister, for using social media. Police said that the accused Bilal Ahmed was arrested and presented in the court on Monday, from where he was sent to police custody. During the court hearing, Bilal told that he slit the throats of his mother, sister, niece and sister-in-law because their liberal lifestyle had ruined his married life and they also always taunted him.

Shaukat Awan, the police officer investigating the case, said, “This is a clear case of Bilal being mentally unstable and ultra-conservative.” The bodies of the four women were found in their apartment in Karachi’s Old Soldier Bazaar area. . Awan said, “During the investigation it was revealed that Bilal had daily fights with these women and he blamed them and their liberal lifestyle for his wife leaving him because she was a religious woman.” ‘

The police officer said, “Bilal also had objections to the use of social media by the four women. He was angry with his sister and niece for posting their pictures and videos on social media. Bilal told police that he initially wanted to “only teach his sister a lesson”, but later He realized that he could not leave any witnesses alive, so he murdered all four women. (Language)
