Tel Aviv: The Israeli army is continuously targeting Hezbollah positions in Lebanon. Israel has caused huge losses to Hezbollah in the air strikes conducted so far. Meanwhile, the Israeli Defense Force has said that it will soon start operations on the southern coast of Lebanon. The Israeli military has warned residents and fishermen in a 60 kilometer area of the Mediterranean Sea to stay away from the beaches. It was not made clear in the army statement what kind of operation would be conducted.
‘Citizens should stay away from beaches’
It is noteworthy that, as part of the military campaign against Hezbollah, the Israeli army is carrying out air strikes in southern Lebanon as well as ground action in the border areas. In a statement, the army has asked residents living south of Lebanon’s Awali River to stay away from the beaches out of consideration for their safety.
Israeli attacks continue
Meanwhile, let us also tell you that Israel is continuously carrying out severe attacks on Lebanon. On Monday also, Israel launched a major attack on South Lebanon, in which 10 firefighters were killed. Lebanon’s Health Ministry said after the attack that more people were buried under the debris. The ministry had also expressed fear of the death toll increasing. It was also said that firefighters were at a municipal building in Barachit town. The attack occurred when firefighters were preparing to set out on a rescue operation. (AP)
