Kyiv: The war continues between Russia and Ukraine. Meanwhile, Ukraine’s top military commander has said that the war around Pokrovsk, the main city of eastern Ukraine, has become more severe after Russia’s continuous invasion. Analysts estimate that Russian forces are now just a few kilometers from the city. Ukrainian troops repelled about 40 Russian attempts to attack security forces around Pokrovsk in the past 24 hours, the General Staff said in a battlefield report Thursday.
What did the Ukrainian Army Chief say?
“The occupying Russians are pushing forward all their available forces and trying to break through the defenses of our troops,” Ukrainian army chief Gen. Oleksandr Syrsky said in a post on Facebook late Wednesday. He said that his army was less in numbers. Russian forces are trying to destroy Ukraine’s defenses with glide bombs.
