10 thousand bus marshals of Delhi will return to work, CM Atishi gave a big update on permanent job
In a decisive move, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi on Saturday announced reinstatement of 10,000 Civil Defense Volunteers (CDVs) for anti-pollution duties, days after receiving instructions from LG VK Saxena. These CDVs were appointed as bus marshals before they were dismissed by LG Saxena on the proposal of then Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in October last year.

Addressing a press conference, Delhi CM said that a proposal in this direction has been passed and the process of restoration will be started from Monday. He also targeted the BJP for terminating his services while he was on the job and withholding his salary. He wrote on Twitter that 10,000 bus marshals and civil defense volunteers will be deployed in the war against pollution in Delhi. Delhi government has approved their appointment and the appointment process will start from Monday.
The Chief Minister said that the BJP snatched away their jobs with its dirty politics but under the guidance of Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi government has done the work of providing employment to the marshals again. This is proof that no matter how many conspiracies the BJP hatches, the AAP government will fight every difficulty and get the work done for the people of Delhi. Notably, on October 24, Delhi LG VK Saxena had directed the deployment of Civil Defense Volunteers (CDVs) to reduce air pollution in the national capital for the next four months.

LG Saxena’s direction came during a meeting of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), which he chairs. As per the Delhi LG’s instructions, the four-month tenure was to start from November 1. Saxena had advised the GNCTD and the Chief Minister to come up with a concrete plan for their future engagement in the interim after following due process, so that they are not misled again and face loss of livelihood in the interim period of four months. Don’t do it.
