A 16-year-old boy was stabbed to death at Ramlila Maidan in north-west Delhi for allegedly making ‘controversial’ comments on social media. Police gave this information. He told that the attackers attacked him brutally with a knife. The attackers are also minors.
“A PCR call was received at Shalimar Bagh police station about an injured boy lying at Ramlila Maidan,” a police officer said. The police team reached the spot and found that there were marks of multiple stab wounds on his body.
He told that this boy was working as a laborer in a banquet hall for the last two days. According to him, an FIR was registered in connection with his death and the police arrested two teenagers in this case.
The officer says that preliminary investigation has revealed that there was enmity between the boy and the accused due to which he was attacked. According to the officer, during interrogation, the accused told that the boy had made ‘controversial remarks’ against them on social media, after which they caught him at Ramlila Maidan and attacked him with a knife. “We found a knife and the mobile phone of the dead boy,” he said. Investigation of the matter is ongoing.
