Central government took revolutionary steps for agricultural reform: Addressing the program, Union Minister of State for Agriculture Bhagirath Chaudhary said that farmers have an important role in the progress of the agricultural sector of our country and it is the basis of self-reliance and prosperity of our nation.
Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Bhagirath Chaudhary addressed the inauguration program of “National Agriculture Conference – Rabi Campaign 2024” organized at Pusa Complex, New Delhi on Saturday. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Minister of State for Agriculture Ramnath Thakur, Agriculture Ministers of various states and officials of the Agriculture Department were present in the conference.

The main objective of our government is to double the income of farmers and empower them technically, scientifically and economically. Bhagirath Choudhary said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, many concrete steps have been taken towards agricultural reform, due to which the production and income of farmers are continuously increasing. Rabi crops are very important for Indian agriculture, as it strengthens our food security and economic stability.
The decision to increase MSP in Rabi crops is historic: Union Minister of State for Agriculture Bhagirath Chaudhary said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has resolved that Indian farmers should be strong and self-reliant. On this occasion of Rabi season, we will have to work hard and diligently in coordination with our farmers and ensure the implementation of the government’s agriculture-friendly schemes at the grassroots level. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, our government, ensuring its agenda in the interest of farmers, recently took a historic decision to increase the MSP of 6 Rabi crops, which will definitely prove to be a milestone in the direction of agriculture and farmers.
