Pawar, representing the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), is contesting from the Baramati assembly seat against his nephew and NCP (SP) candidate Yugendra Pawar.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar appealed to the people of Baramati to support them in the upcoming assembly elections. He reminded him of his support for his uncle Sharad Pawar in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He said that you made Saheb happy in the Lok Sabha elections, now make me happy by voting (for me) in the Assembly elections. Saheb will work in his own way, I will work in my own style for the development of my taluka.
Pawar, representing the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), is contesting from the Baramati assembly seat against his nephew and NCP (SP) candidate Yugendra Pawar. This follows the split in the NCP, with Ajit Pawar joining the Eknath Shinde-BJP government last year. In Baramati constituency, Sharad Pawar’s daughter Supriya Sule had won the Lok Sabha seat earlier this year by defeating Ajit Pawar’s wife.
Addressing the local people in Saval village, Ajit Pawar said that if Supriya had lost the Lok Sabha elections, how would Saheb (Sharad Pawar) have felt at this age – thinking this you voted for him, but now vote for me in the assembly elections. He said that you made Saheb happy in the Lok Sabha elections, now make me happy by casting your vote (for me) in the Assembly elections. Saheb will work in his own way, I will work in my own way to develop our taluka.
