Kishori Lal Sharma was talking to reporters here who is on a two-day visit to Amethi. On the question asked regarding the slogan ‘Bantenge to Katenge’, Kishori Lal Sharma said that the Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh and the Modi government at the Center have failed on all fronts.
Sharma said that they have nothing else to do except doing religion-caste politics and dividing the society. They do not talk about unemployment, they do not talk about inflation and they do not talk about education.” He alleged, ”They are trying to make brother fight with brother.” the Congress leader said. That the country does not accept such politics and people of all religions and castes in the country like to live together.
Describing the death of children due to fire in Jhansi Medical College as tragic, MP Sharma said, “This is the result of huge shortcomings in the medical system of Uttar Pradesh.” The arrangements in hospitals are in poor condition, no attention is being paid. Instead of fixing the systems, these people talk about crematoriums and cemeteries.” On the question of Congress not contesting the by-elections, Sharma said that Samajwadi Party is contesting the elections on behalf of ‘Indian National Development Inclusive Alliance’ (India) in Uttar Pradesh. And all the parties in the alliance are giving their support to it. He claimed that ‘India’ candidates will win on all the seats.
