Canada temple attack: Pawan Kalyan appeals to Trudeau government to take steps for the safety of Hindus
Amravati. Terming the attack on a Hindu temple in Canada as “more than an isolated incident”, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has said he is deeply saddened by the incident and hopes the Canadian government will ensure the safety of the Hindu community there. Will take necessary steps to do so. Kalyan said in a post on social media that Hindus are a global minority, hence they are given very little attention, less solidarity is shown with them and they are easily targeted.
He said that every act of hatred against them (Hindus), every case of abuse is a blow to all those who value humanity and peace. Kalyan said, “I am deeply saddened to see that our Hindu brothers and sisters in countries like Pakistan, Afghanistan and most recently Bangladesh are facing oppression, violence and unimaginable suffering.” The attack on a Hindu temple and Hindus is a blow to the heart and gives rise to both pain and concern.
Kalyan said this is not an isolated incident and incidents of violence and targeted hatred against Hindus continue in various countries, yet the silence of global leaders, international organizations and “so-called peace-loving” NGOs is frightening. He said that this is not just an appeal for compassion, but a call to action, which the world must accept and address the suffering of Hindus with the same urgency and commitment as it does for others.
