New Delhi: Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati has once again targeted Congress and Samajwadi Party. Taking aim at the Congress party, the BSP supremo on Saturday said that it has maintained silence on the Bangladesh issue but is shouting ‘Sambhal-Sambhal’ for Muslim votes. Mayawati also said that Samajwadi Party and Congress are trying to win Muslim voters to their side under the guise of the violence in Sambhal. He said that most of the Hindus who are facing incidents of violence in Bangladesh are Dalits and people from weaker sections, but Congress has maintained silence on this.
Questions raised on Dalit MPs also
Addressing a press conference at the party office in Lucknow, Mayawati said that Hindis are becoming victims of attacks in large numbers in Bangladesh. He said, ‘At present the Parliament session is going on and the opposition, especially the Samajwadi Party and the Congress, instead of raising issues of national and public interest, are trying to woo Muslim votes under the guise of violence to further their political interests. The sad thing is that those who have helped the Dalit class MPs reach the Parliament are also keeping silent on the issues of Dalit oppression to please their party bosses.
Mayawati made this demand from BJP
The BSP supremo further said, ‘Most of the Hindus who are becoming victims of atrocities in Bangladesh are Dalits and people from weaker sections. Despite being the main opposition party, Congress is silent on this issue and is only shouting ‘Sambhal-Sambhal’ for Muslim votes. In this matter, Congress, SP and their supporting parties are all on the same plate. Mayawati said that in such a situation, the Bharatiya Janata Party and its led central government should move forward and fulfill their responsibility. Let us tell you that after the overthrow of Sheikh Hasina in Bangladesh, Hindus are being attacked continuously and it has been condemned at the international level as well.
