However, amid all this, on Sunday, MPs from different parties of both the houses of Parliament, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, were seen together in the cricket field. A T20 cricket match was organized between the teams of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. In this match, Lok Sabha Speaker XI defeated Rajya Sabha Speaker XI by a margin of 73 runs. Lok Sabha MPs Anurag Thakur and Chandrashekhar have batted stormily in this match.

Anurag Thakur and Chandrashekhar batted brilliantly on behalf of the Lok Sabha in the cricket match between the two houses of the Parliament. Anurag Thakur played an unbeaten inning of 111 runs in 65 balls. At the same time, Chandrashekhar played a stormy inning of 54 runs in 23 balls. With the help of this inning, Lok Sabha Speaker’s XI scored 251 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. In response, Rajya Sabha Chairman’s XI could score only 178 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. On behalf of the team, Mohammad Azharuddin played the highest innings of 74 runs in 42 balls.

MP Manoj Tiwari was given the ‘Super Catch of the Match’ award in a friendly cricket match of MPs to raise awareness about TB. Congress MP Deepender Singh Hooda was given the best bowler award. MP Nishikant Dubey was honored as the best fielder. Whereas, Mohammad Azharuddin was honored as the best batsman.
The match of Rajya Sabha XI vs Lok Sabha XI was held to spread awareness about TB. In this match, all the MPs came to the field wearing a special kind of jersey, in which it was written that TB will lose and India will win.
