The air quality has once again started deteriorating in the national capital Delhi. Before the onset of winter and before Diwali, the air level has fallen significantly. Launching a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) over the deteriorating air quality in Delhi, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Manoj Tiwari said that the AAP government in Delhi for the last ten years has no intention of reducing pollution. He urged the people of the national capital to support the BJP in the Delhi Assembly elections.
Manoj Tiwari said, “The AAP government which has been ruling Delhi for the last 10 years has no intention of reducing pollution… Pollution is becoming dangerous again. Rivers and air are getting polluted. People have to face difficulties. This is just the beginning… Elections are after 4-5 months, I request people to give BJP a chance to make Delhi again… AAP government wakes up only when there is a problem. Delhi’s problems will be solved the day they start waking up before the problem comes…”
Reacting to this, BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala said that the national capital is becoming a poisonous gas chamber and held AAP responsible for this. Shahzad Poonawala said, “Delhi is fast becoming a poisonous gas chamber and AAP’s polluted politics of allegations and counter-accusations is responsible for this. What happened to stubble burning in Punjab, which Arvind Kejriwal called the main reason for pollution in Delhi? What happened to bio-decomposer? Arvind Kejriwal and his government banned firecrackers, but what about these reasons for pollution? The main reasons are: No action was taken against stubble burning in Punjab.” The BJP leader further said that AAP and Arvind Kejriwal have put the health of the citizens of Delhi at risk.
Poonawalla said, “Vehicle pollution, industrial pollution, dust, biomass burning, what has been done about these in the last ten years? Nothing. What happened to the smoke towers? The smoke towers have been closed. Baba Kharag Singh Smoke Tower But Rs 25 crores are not working. Now they will only play the blame game and the reason for this is you and Kejriwal.

The AQI in Delhi’s Anand Vihar area fell to 339 at 8 am, which is in the ‘very poor’ category. India Gate and surrounding areas recorded an AQI of 270 at 8 am, which is in the ‘poor’ category. Dwarka Sector-8 recorded an AQI of 325 at 8 am, putting the area in the ‘very poor’ category. Vivek Vihar area of the national capital has fallen into the ‘very poor’ category with an AQI of 324 at 8 am.
