A man was allegedly stabbed to death by six people in West Delhi’s Vikaspuri area. Police gave this information on Wednesday. Police said that the deceased has been identified as Sanjay, resident of Indira Camp, Vikaspuri and he was a driver by profession.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) (West) Vichitra Veer said that information regarding this incident that took place in Vikas Puri was received in the Police Control Room (PCR) at around 11 pm on Tuesday night.
The officer said, “Sanjay was roaming in the area with his friend Manish when he got into an argument with some local people, following which Sanjay was badly beaten and stabbed. Manish managed to escape with his life.”
DCP said that after receiving the information, police reached the spot and injured Sanjay was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Veer said that six people allegedly involved in the incident have been taken into custody and some of them are residents of the same area. Police said that a case of murder has been registered and investigation is ongoing.
