In another case of road rage in the city, Pune Police on Friday (October 11) confirmed the death of a food delivery executive who was hit by a luxury car around 2 am in Mundhwa area. The driver fled the spot immediately after the accident, but was later taken into custody from his house in Hadapsar area, police said. A food delivery executive died after being hit by an Audi car in a posh area of ​​Pune on Friday midnight. An allegedly drunk driver rammed a two-wheeler and injured three people before hitting the victim’s motorcycle. According to Pune Police, this incident took place in Koregaon area of ​​Pune at around 1 am.
The deceased has been identified as Rauf Shaikh. Police said the accused, identified as 34-year-old Ayush Tayal, has been arrested. Talking about the details of the incident, Pune Police informed that the deceased has been identified as Rauf Shaikh and he was the second person to be hit by the car of the accused (Ayush Tayal). Before hitting Shaikh’s bike badly, the accused hit another two-wheeler, injuring three people, police said.

Pune city police said, around 1.35 am, the accused first hit a two-wheeler, injuring three people. After this he also hit the bike of deceased Rauf Shaikh. The car hit him from behind, seriously injuring him. He was taken to the hospital, where he was declared dead. After the incident, the accused Ayush Tayal, 34, fled from the spot. Police said that he was later arrested from his house in Hadapsar. He said, After examining the CCTV footage, his car was identified and he was later arrested from his house in Hadapsar area.

It is noteworthy that a case has been registered against the accused at Mundhwa Police Station under BNS sections 105, 281, 125 (A), 132, 119, 177 and 184. Further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
