This will be the first Diwali in Ayodhya after the construction of Ram temple. In such a situation, the question in everyone’s mind is that how will Diwali be celebrated in Ayodhya this time and how will the decoration of Ram temple be? General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Champat Rai has given important information regarding this. Champat Rai said that like every year, decorations will be done this time too. Our experience is that people enjoy the way we celebrate. We will decorate the temple with flowers and electricity. There should be some dignity in faith also. We will use candles placed in lamps.

Rai said that the government has declared October 30 as the date for Deepotsav, we will follow it. Meanwhile, in preparation for the upcoming Deepotsav celebrations, authorities in Ayodhya have stepped up security around ‘Ram ki Paidi’ on the banks of river Saryu. To ensure a safe and secure event, police on Monday announced that they have sealed 17 lanes leading to ‘Ram Ki Paidi’. Ayodhya Police has prepared a detailed list of residents of all the colonies attached to both ‘Ram Ki Paidi’ and Rampath, enhancing their ability to monitor activities taking place in these areas.

The restrictions are aimed at managing crowd flow and minimizing any potential security risks amid the large gatherings expected during the Diwali. Access to Ram Ki Paidi has now been restricted to pass holders only for preparations for the Deepotsav. He said that only the volunteers deployed at the ghats, officials associated with Deepotsav and pass holders are allowed to enter the premises. Barricading has been installed in all the lanes leading to Ram Ki Paidi.
