All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi, in an indirect reference to the Congress, said that to defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the old party will have to take everyone along. Speaking in the context of BJP’s victory in Haryana elections, Owaisi also said that BJP won the state by mistake. Meanwhile, BJP said that Congress party does not stand anywhere. Owaisi said secular parties used to blame them for dividing anti-BJP votes in the elections, but how did Congress lose in Haryana despite AIMIM not fielding a candidate?

Owaisi asked the question that how did BJP win Haryana? I was not there. Otherwise, they would have said ‘B team’… they lost there. Now, you tell me, why did they lose? Giving advice to Congress, Owaisi said, “I would like to tell the old party. Understand what I’m saying. To defeat Modi you will have to take everyone along. You won’t be able to do anything alone.”

Congress is a parasitic party: BJP
Responding to Asaduddin Owaisi’s statement on Haryana election results, BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala said that the Congress party has become a parasitic party, now it is nowhere. BJP spokesperson Shahzad Poonawala said that whether it is Trinamool Congress, Samajwadi Party, Uddhav Sena or Owaisi, ever since the results of Haryana elections have come, all of them are telling Congress that “Rahul, you will not be able to do it.” I think the Congress party has become a parasitic party. He said that Congress does not survive anywhere, it becomes ‘Betaal’ and makes its allies ‘Vikram’ and then sucks their vote bank. In such a situation, everyone is telling them that they should not destroy their vote bank and fight the elections together.
