Discussion on CM post intensifies in Maharashtra.

More than a week has passed since the results of the assembly elections held in Maharashtra were revealed. However, the grand alliance between BJP, Shiv Sena and NCP has not yet decided which leader will be given the post of Chief Minister in the state. However, in the meantime the Bharatiya Janata Party has taken a big step. The party has appointed Nirmala Sitharaman and Vijay Rupani as central observers for Maharashtra.

Legislative party meeting on 4th December

The press release issued by the BJP states – “The Parliamentary Board of the Bharatiya Janata Party has nominated Vijay Rupani, former Chief Minister of Gujarat and in-charge of Punjab and Central Finance and Corporate Affairs, for the election of the leader of the party legislature party in Maharashtra. Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has been appointed as the Central Observer. As central observers, Nirmala Sitharaman and Vijay Rupani will handle the responsibility of electing the leader of the BJP legislature party in Maharashtra. Let us tell you that there will be a meeting of BJP Legislative Party in Maharashtra on 4th December in Mumbai.

Devendra Fadnavis’ name decided – BJP leader

According to PTI, a senior BJP leader has claimed that Devendra Fadnavis’ name is finalized as the CM of Maharashtra. Let us tell you that in the grand alliance in Maharashtra Assembly elections, Bharatiya Janata Party has got 132 seats, Shiv Sena has got 57 seats and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has got 41 seats.

What did Shinde say?

State’s acting Chief Minister and Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde said on Sunday that whatever decision the BJP takes regarding the new Chief Minister, he will fully support it. Shinde claimed that there is no difference of opinion among the Mahayuti allies regarding government formation. On the other hand, Eknath Shinde’s son Shrikant Shinde has rejected the speculations about giving himself the post of Deputy Chief Minister.
