Applicants whose family income is less than Rs 2.5 lakh can avail the benefits of ‘Girl Sister Scheme’. Under this scheme, women beneficiaries get Rs 1500 every month.
‘Girl Sister Scheme’ was being run by the Maharashtra Government for women and sisters. But now a big update has come out regarding this scheme. Actually, this scheme is the main scheme of Shinde government. 2.34 crore people are taking advantage of this scheme. Who has been getting Rs 1500 continuously for about 5 months. From July to November, all eligible women have received Rs 7500 under this scheme. After the implementation of the code of conduct, no new beneficiary could be added to this scheme.
Now due to the election period, women will not be able to get further installments. Because for now this scheme has been temporarily suspended. The Election Commission has announced elections in the state. Under which voting is to be held in a single phase on November 20 in the state. Therefore, the code of conduct has been implemented in Maharashtra. In such a situation, the Election Commission has directed to temporarily stop the financial schemes directly affecting women voters.
Before the announcement of assembly elections, Shinde government had announced to give bonus to the beneficiaries under this scheme. Under which women beneficiaries were to be given Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,500. But now the Commission has banned this, due to which the dear sisters have lost hope of getting money on Diwali. Let us tell you that to avail the benefits of this scheme, the beneficiary must be a permanent resident of the state. Also, the age of female application should be between 21 to 65 years.
