Eknath Shinde sidelined?
Amidst the suspense over the name of the chief ministerial candidate, Shinde’s close aide and Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Shirsat said that caretaker chief minister Eknath Shinde may take an important decision by Sunday. When asked about allocation of ministries, he said that his party should get the Home Department. He claimed that efforts were made to sideline Shinde.
Let us tell you, Shinde had made it clear that any decision taken by the top leadership of BJP on the post of Chief Minister would be acceptable to him. But he is under pressure from a group of Shiv Sena leaders who believe that he should not become the Deputy Chief Minister as he has been the Chief Minister for more than two years. Another group of party leaders is insisting that they should be part of the new government.
