A 22-year-old man has been arrested from Dwarka area of the capital for sharing pictures with illegal weapons on social media. Police gave this information on Saturday.
Police said that the arrested accused Akash was influenced by jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and wanted to become famous on social media by sharing pictures with weapons.
Singh said, the police team found a picture of a person named Akash posing with firearms on Instagram. His account was immediately monitored and information was collected to arrest him.
The officer said that based on a secret information, Akash was caught on October 15. A country-made pistol and one live cartridge were seized from his possession and a case was registered under the Arms Act at Jafarpur Kalan police station. Another officer said that during interrogation, Akash revealed that he wanted to become infamous like Lawrence Bishnoi.
