Appealing to the people of the state, the Chief Minister said that drinking alcohol is a bad thing, they should understand this. Drinking alcohol not only harms health but also creates an atmosphere of unrest in the family and society.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar conducted a high-level review of the poisonous liquor incident in Siwan and Saran districts. After the review, the CM directed the Secretary of the Prohibition, Excise and Registration Department to visit the spot to get information about the entire situation and conduct a thorough investigation on all points. Along with this, he also directed to take strict action against the people involved in this. The Chief Minister directed the Director General of Police to continuously monitor the entire incident from his level and ensure strict action against those who are guilty of this incident.

Drinking alcohol not only harms health but also creates an atmosphere of unrest in the family and society. Complete prohibition is in force in the state. Everyone is following this. Some anti-social elements want to create unrest in the society, people should be cautious of them. According to SP Amitesh Kumar, 20 people died after drinking poisonous liquor in Siwan, Bihar.

According to Chapra Superintendent of Police Kumar Ashish, a special investigation team has been formed. FIR has been registered against eight people and three people have been arrested. Besides, the local watchman and Panchayat beat police officers have also been suspended. As part of departmental action, clarification has been sought from Masarak police station in-charge and Masarak zone ALTF in-charge. District Magistrate Mukul Kumar Gupta said that legal action is being taken against Bhagwanpur Police Station Officer and Prohibition ASI of Bhagwanpur Police Station.

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said regarding this that liquor ban is only on paper. More than 30 people have died and dozens have lost their eyesight due to illicit liquor. He said that such a big incident happened but the CM has not yet expressed condolences towards the victims. People are not dead, they have been murdered. No action has been taken against any senior officer. There is a need to make those in power accountable.
