A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. Where a person lost his life due to firecrackers. The incident took place on 31st October (Diwali night). The 32-year-old youth accepted the challenge of his friends which led to his untimely death.

The victim, Sabri (32 years old), accepted the challenge of sitting on a burning firecracker after his friend offered him an auto-rickshaw in return. The incident took place on the night of October 31 at Weavers Colony in Konankunte, south Bengaluru. The incident was captured in the neighbour’s CCTV camera.
All the accused friends were drunk
The victim, Sabri, is seen sitting on a container-like object, inside which his friends had placed firecrackers and lit them. At the time of the incident, auto owner Naveen (26) and six of his friends were present. Giving more information about this case, DCP Bengaluru South B Lokesh said that all the friends including Sabari were drunk.
The accused admitted to giving free auto rickshaw
During interrogation, the police came to know that the victim was Sabari who was a labourer. He had accepted the challenge of sitting on a burning firecracker because his friend Naveen had offered his auto-rickshaw if he won the bet.
Man died in hospital
Sabri suffered burns on her lower back due to the bursting of firecrackers and was admitted to the burn ward of Victoria Hospital for two days, but she died on Saturday night. Konankunte police have registered a case of culpable homicide. A case has been registered against Naveen and his six friends who lit the firecracker.

DCP Bengaluru South B Lokesh said that FIR has been registered against everyone under section 108 of BNS. The police have arrested the main accused Naveen and his other friends. The accused have been accused of culpable homicide. Everyone has been presented in the court.
