There should be more than 2 children… Debate broke out on Mohan Bhagwat’s statement, opposition surrounded BJP

There has been an uproar over a statement by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat. In fact, in ‘Kathaale Kulsammelan’ in Nagpur, Bhagwat expressed concern over the decline in population growth rate. During this time he insisted on having three children. A debate has erupted on his statement. Congress, Samajwad Party and Asaduddin Owaisi have targeted Bhagwat.

Addressing the gathering at ‘Kathaale Kulsammelan’ in Nagpur, Bhagwat said, ‘Reduction in population is a matter of concern, because population science says that if the population rate goes below 2.1 then that society will be destroyed, no one can destroy it. If he doesn’t, he will destroy himself. He said, ‘Our country’s population policy, which was decided around 1998 or 2002, says that the population growth rate should not be below 2.1.’

Emphasizing on producing more children, Bhagwat said, ‘We need more than two, that is, three (population growth rate), this is what population science says. This number is important because it (society) must survive.

Samajwadi Party (SP) spokesperson Fakhrul Hasan Chand reacted to Bhagwat’s statement. He said, ‘When Mohan Bhagwat says something for some time now, he makes BJP uncomfortable. Last time he said that why find a temple in every mosque, even then the BJP people who only do politics of temple and mosque had no answer. BJP is only doing politics regarding the population of the entire country, SP understands that now after Mohan Bhagwat’s statement, BJP will no longer have an answer. SP’s ideology may not match that of RSS, but if they have said something right then it is not wrong to say what is right.

Congress leader and Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar cornered Mohan Bhagwat over his statement about three children. He asked a question to Bhagwat that, provide jobs to those who are already there, there are no jobs, the crop land is decreasing. Mohan Bhagwat wants to have more than 2 children. There is similar unemployment in the country. Those who are young today are not able to get jobs, the crop land is decreasing while the population is increasing.

Singhar further said that while China had a low population, it has become a superpower today. Mohan Bhagwat is not able to learn from China and he wants to make the country powerful in terms of population. My suggestion to them is that Mohan Bhagwat, PM Modi, UP CM Yogi are the first ones to start, if they are so concerned about the population, then they should start with them.

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen MP Asaduddin Owaisi, reacting to Mohan Bhagwat’s statement, said, ‘He says that the population should be increased, but will he ensure that children get some benefit? Will he give Rs 1500 every month to poor families?
