According to meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh, there is a possibility of further decline in the temperature from December 27 with a slight increase in the night temperature. He said that the weather will become colder from December 29 due to which there is a possibility of cold wave in the entire state during the day. He said the weather department has issued a warning to farmers to take necessary measures to protect crops from possible rain and hailstorm. Due to recent rains, air quality has also improved in various districts of the state. The air quality index (AQI) in Lucknow was recorded at 182, while it was 178 in Meerut, 109 in Prayagraj, 102 in Agra, 97 in Gorakhpur, 93 in Hapur and 78 in Kanpur.

The weather will be dry in the state from December 29 and there will be dense fog at some places. There may be a drop in temperature during this period.
