His mortal remains will be taken from the All India Congress Committee headquarters to the cremation ground. According to the information, the last rites of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh will be held on Saturday at 11.45 am at Nigambodh Ghat in Delhi.
Funeral with state honors

This letter issued by Parthasarathy states – “It has been decided by the government that Dr. Manmohan Singh will be cremated with state honors. The last rites will be performed on December 28, 2024 at 11:45 am in Nigambodh. Ghat, New Delhi. The Defense Ministry is requested to arrange a state funeral with full military honours.”

The tricolor-wrapped mortal remains of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh have been kept in a flower-decorated coffin at his residence ‘3 Motilal Nehru Marg’. Here, many prominent leaders including President Draupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress Parliamentary Party Chief Sonia Gandhi, Party President Mallikarjun Kharge and other personalities have paid their last tribute to Manmohan Singh. Manmohan Singh’s mortal remains will be kept at the Congress headquarters ’24 Akbar Road’ on Saturday morning for the last darshan of the people and then his last journey will also start from there at 9.30 am.
