The third ODI match was played between England and West Indies at Kensington Oval, Barbados. West Indies won this match easily thanks to the brilliant centuries of Brandon King and Casey Carty. Batting first, England scored 263 runs losing 8 wickets in 50 overs. In response, West Indies achieved the target of 264 runs in just 43 overs by losing 2 wickets. With the victory in this match, West Indies won the 3-match ODI series 2-1.
Along with the victory of West Indies, the third ODI was in the news because of a strange incident. In fact, during England’s batting, fast bowler Alzarri Joseph clashed with his teammate Shay Hope over setting the fielding. After this Alzari left the field in anger. Although he returned to the field after one over, this brought disgrace to the West Indies cricket team in the cricket world. Fast bowler got big punishment
Actually, Cricket West Indies has suspended fast bowler Alzarri Joseph for two matches after the incident on the field during the third ODI. Cricket West Indies issued a statement and gave this information. Cricket West Indies (CWI) director of cricket, Miles Bascombe, informed of the decision, saying that Alzarri’s behavior was not in line with the core values maintained by Cricket West Indies. Such conduct cannot be condoned, and the Board has taken decisive action to ensure that the seriousness of the situation is fully acknowledged.
Joseph apologized to the captain
Joseph has also publicly apologized, acknowledging the incident and expressing regret. He said he believed his passion had gotten the better of him. He has personally apologized to captain Shay Hope, his teammates and the management. He also apologizes to the West Indies fans. He said that even a small error in judgment can have far reaching implications and he deeply regrets his mistake.
