Pant has become the fastest Indian wicketkeeper to complete 2500 runs in Test cricket. He did this in 62 innings and broke Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s record. Dhoni had completed 2500 runs in Test in 69 innings. Veteran wicketkeeper Farooq Engineer had achieved this feat in 82 innings.

Rishabh Pant has equaled Farooq Engineer in terms of scoring fifty plus scores in Test cricket for India. Both these players have scored fifty plus scores 18-18 times for India. Mahendra Singh Dhoni has scored the most number of fifty plus scores as a wicketkeeper in Tests for Team India. He has done this 39 times.
