How serious is Rishabh Pant's injury, Rohit Sharma's shocking revelation; This big update came out

Rishabh Pant

Rishabh Pant Injury: India’s troubles in the Bengaluru Test are not ending. After the first day was washed out in rain, Team India came to bat on the second day and got bundled out for just 46 runs. In this way, the Indian team got the shameful record of being all out on the lowest score at home. After this, Team India suffered a major blow 13 overs before the end of the day’s play when the team’s star wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant got injured. Pant suffered a knee injury and walked out of the field staggering. After Pant was out, Dhruv Jurel came to the field for wicketkeeping.

Dodged by Jadeja’s ball

After the end of the day’s play, Indian captain Rohit Sharma has given a big update regarding Rishabh Pant’s injury. Rohit told that the ball hit Pant on the same knee which had undergone surgery after the road accident. This was the reason why Pant was seen groaning in pain after being hit by the ball. Pant was unable to catch a fast spin ball from Ravindra Jadeja, who was bowling over the wicket in the 37th over of New Zealand’s first innings, and the ball hit his knee. He soon limped off the field and was replaced by Dhruv Jurel.

Big update on Pant’s injury

Rohit told in the press conference after the end of the day’s play that the ball hit Pant directly on his knee, the same leg on which he had undergone surgery. So, there is a little swelling in his knee and the muscles are quite weak at the moment. That is why it was decided to send Pant out of the field as a precaution. He said that the team does not want to take any risk as Pant has undergone major foot surgery. Rohit said that hence, he needed to go off the field. Hopefully he’ll be fine tonight and we’ll see him back on the field tomorrow.

It is noteworthy that by the end of the second day’s play, the visiting Kiwi team had put 180 runs for 3 wickets on the scoreboard. New Zealand has taken a lead of 134 runs over India. Now on the third day, the Indian bowlers will be eyeing to all out New Zealand as soon as possible.
