Indian Under 19 team defeated Australia Under 19 team by 7 wickets in the first Youth ODI match.

The three-match Youth ODI series between Indian Under 19 and Australian Under 19 team started today, the first match of which was played at the Puducherry ground. The Indian Under 19 team completely dominated this match in which the bowlers, on the basis of their excellent performance, restricted the Australian team to a score of just 184 runs. After this, they achieved the target in just 36 overs for the loss of 3 wickets and took a 1-0 lead in the series. From Team India’s side, Captain KP Karthikeya and Mohammad Aman scored unbeaten half-centuries in this match.

The Indian Under 19 team, which came out to chase the target of 185 runs against the Australian Under 19 team, had a very bad start in which they lost their first wicket in the form of Sahil Prakash at a score of 10. After this, Rudra Patel at a score of 17 and Abhigyan Kundu at a score of 32 also returned to the pavilion. Team India was clearly under pressure from here, after which captain Mohammad Aman along with KP Karthikeya handled the first innings and took the score forward and took it beyond 100. Both of them together did not give any chance to the Australian bowlers to take wickets, in which a partnership of 153 runs was seen between them for the fourth wicket. Kumar Karthikeya scored an unbeaten 85 runs facing 99 balls which included 9 fours and 2 sixes. Captain Mohammad Aman scored an unbeaten 58 runs with the help of 5 fours while facing 89 balls. For Australia, Ollie Paterson took two wickets while Aiden O’Connor took one wicket.

If we talk about the bowling of the Indian Under 19 team in this match, then Mohammad Anan’s amazing performance with the ball was seen in which he took 4 wickets giving away only 32 runs in his 10 overs. Apart from this, KP Karthikeya took 2 wickets while Samarth Nagaraj, Chetan Sharma, Hardik Raj, Kiran Chormale took 1-1 wickets. In the batting of the Australian team, Steven Hogan played an innings of 42 runs.
