PT Usha rejected the report of Treasurer Sahdev Yadav.

Indian Olympic Association President PT Usha has completely rejected Treasurer Sahdev Yadav’s claim in which he has said in the report of CAG i.e. Comptroller and Auditor General of India that Reliance India Limited (RIL) Due to wrong agreement, the Indian Olympic Association has suffered a loss of Rs 24 crore. Regarding this claim of Sahdev Yadav, now IOA President PT Usha told in an exclusive conversation with India TV that this is all a conspiracy to defame him so that his reputation can be tarnished. Regarding this, PT Usha said that I do not understand why Sahdev Yadav is doing this. He is under the investigation of CAG and is deliberately accusing me.

I took all the decisions as per the authority given to me as IOA President.

Talking to India TV, PT Usha said about this whole issue that as the President of IOA, I have taken all the decisions till now as per the constitution of the organization. I have not taken any wrong step during this period. I have no idea why these people who are part of my organization are running an agenda against me. I have no hidden personal interest in this in any way. I have consulted all the members of the IOA before taking any decision related to the organization.

RIL gets rights to construct India House

As per the sponsorship deal with IOA signed with RIL on August 1, 2022, IOA will officially become the principal partner for the Asian Games (2022, 2026), Commonwealth Games (2022, 2026), 2024 Paris Olympics and 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Along with the approval, he also got the responsibility of constructing India House during these games. By later amending this agreement, RIL was also given the rights of Winter Games (2026, 2030) and Youth Olympic Games (2026, 2030). Regarding this also, PT Usha said in its statement that to add additional responsibilities in the agreement, it was prepared under the supervision of Nandan Kamath, India’s leading sports lawyer associated with NK Law, Bengaluru, in which the acting CEO will be given complete information about it. Along with giving, emails were also sent to everyone about it.
