Ranji Trophy 2024-25: The prestigious domestic tournament Ranji Trophy is going to start between India and Bangladesh T20I series. 42-time Ranji champion Mumbai team will start its title defense campaign against Baroda. The first round of Ranji will start tomorrow i.e. from October 11, in which 38 teams would like to make a great start in this two-phase tournament. The Ajinkya Rahane-led Mumbai team will look to be strong contenders for the title after recently defeating Rest of India in the Irani Cup 2024. Mumbai have been placed in Group A along with Maharashtra and Baroda, while last season’s runners-up Vidarbha have been placed in Group B. In the 2024-25 season, the top 32 teams have been divided into four groups of eight each in the elite category, while 6 teams are in the plate group.
