Indian team’s star batsman Rishabh Pant scored a powerful century against Bangladesh. He won everyone’s heart with his excellent batting and scored 109 runs in 128 balls in the second innings for Team India, which included 13 fours and four sixes. It was because of him that the Indian team was able to tighten its grip in the Test against Bangladesh. India has given Bangladesh a target of 515 runs to win. Pant was playing his first Test match after a car accident and has been successful in establishing himself as the most important player of the team by scoring a brilliant century on his return to the Test team.
The coach opened his heart in praise of Rishabh Pant
After the third day of the first Test match against Bangladesh, Rishabh Pant’s coach Devendra Sharma said that obviously I am very happy for Rishabh. He had a chance to score a century in the first innings as well but I was a little sad that he did not do so. Today he batted fluently. This century is an important one for him as this is his first international century after his comeback.
Devendra Sharma, who coaches at Delhi’s Sonnet Club, said that the series-winning innings at Gabba will always be special for everyone but as a coach, if I am asked about this innings, it is priceless and could not have come at a more appropriate time. Every player needs confidence and no matter how much you achieve in white ball cricket, your achievements in Test matches always get more importance.
This innings is special towards Gabba: Devendra Sharma
Former Delhi wicketkeeper Devender said that this innings is as special as the one at Gabba, considering the rehabilitation that Pant had to go through after the road accident. This century will boost his confidence a lot at the start of India’s busy Test season. This is Pant’s sixth Test century. With this innings, he equaled the great Mahendra Singh Dhoni. While Dhoni scored six centuries in 90 Tests, Pant touched this figure in just 34 Test matches. Pant has been out after crossing the 90-run mark more than six times.
