Sarfaraz Khan Irani Cup: Sarfaraz Khan did not get a chance in the playing eleven of the Indian team against Bangladesh. Now he compensated for that deficiency in the Irani Cup and played a strong innings. He has emerged as the biggest match winner for the Mumbai team. First player to score double century for Mumbai in Irani Cup

Sarfaraz has become the first batsman to score a double century for Mumbai team in the Irani Cup. Before him, no Mumbai player had been able to score a double century in an Irani Cup match.

Made the fifth highest score in Irani Cup

Sarfaraz Khan has become the fifth highest scorer in the Irani Cup match by scoring 221 runs. He has left behind veteran Ravi Shastri and young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal. In the Irani Cup, Shastri played an inning of 217 runs for Rest of India in 1990 and Yashasvi Jaiswal played an inning of 213 runs for Rest of India in 2023. Now if Sarfaraz scores more runs on the third day, he can leave behind Praveen Amre and Surendra Amarnath also. Wasim Jaffer holds the record for playing the biggest innings in the Irani Cup. He played an innings of 286 runs for Rest of India in the year 2018.
